Slip Sheets or Push Pull Sheets
A slip sheet can be used as a substitute or in conjunction with a
wooden pallet. This sheet of solid fiber or plastic becomes a
shipping platform to transport goods from manufacturers to
wholesalers or direct to retailers.
If goods are exported by container loads, slip sheet would save the
cost, weight and space normally allocated to wooden pallets.
Our plastic slip sheets are made from a Typar material which is 100%
recyclable polypropylene and are manufactured to client
specifications. Common sizes are 52x44 or 51x43. A MSDS sheet is
available upon request. These sheets are made by laminating a
coating of polypropylene on each side of a polypropylene mesh. The
features & benefits of these sheets are:

-
Reusable—2500 lbs can be pushed pulled 8 times or more.
-
Cost Effective—cost per use is minimal
-
Easy to transport and store—each pallet contains 1500 sheets
-
Flexible but strong– if the lips are compressed by a forklift they
bounce back to their original shape
-
Anti Skid sheets are available if required.
-
Resistant to freezing—No cracking or breaking extends the sheets
life.
-
High Tear resistance—the polypropylene mesh reduces the ability to
tear.
Solid Fiber slip sheets (.060 and .080) are 100% fourdrinier virgin
kraft (linerboard) that is a 2 or 3 ply lamination. The glue is a
polyvinyl alcohol moisture resistant adhesive. The benefits are:
-
Reusable many times—A potato shed in Idaho gets about 30 uses.
-
Cost Effective
-
Easy to transport and store, 500 p/pt
-
Water resistant coating is available if required
The most common sizes converted are 51" x 43", 52" x 44", 56" x 44"
and 50" x 44". Other sizes can be custom converted to individual
needs.
Pallet Sheets or Pallet Liners
The standard 4-way grocery size pallet of 40" x 48" sometimes
requires a layer of protective material to be placed on the pallet
prior to the placement of the product. A layer of cardboard,
chipboard, solid fiber, plastic or paper/poly will protect the
product from:
Thicknesses for pallet liners have ranged from .010 paper/poly to
.028 chipboard, .060 or .080 solid fiber and .023 plastic. The
thicker sheets are excellent for double stacking pallets to protect
the tops of the bottom pallet. These sheets can be reused many times
because of their durability. The thinner sheets are better designed
for a one time use.
Tie Sheets or Tier Sheets
If a pallet is to be shipped long distances or must look good (
point of sale) a manufacturer may want a sheet to be placed between
the rows of product to hold or "tie" the load together.
Pad & Box Liners or Inserts
Between the layers of plastic or metal parts some manufacturers use
material to separate the various layers to protect the items from
damage.
Painters Drop Sheets
The .010 paper/poly material is ideal for industrial painters as a
drop sheet because it is water resistant and tear resistant.
Scissors lifts can be driven over the material without ripping it.
If paint drops on the paper side any residue is absorbed. Buying the
4 foot roll allows an individual to cut to any length to suit.
